Kundalini Yoga

"The Yoga of Awereness"

Kundalini is one of the oldest forms of yoga dating all the way back to 500 b.c. India. Kundalini means literally means "snake" and the purpose of it is to "uncoil your snake" and release your inner energy. Kundalini differs from other forms of yoga. No two classes are the same, expect to dance, jump, breathing exercises, holding poses for longer than usual.

Final Thoughts
Kundalini was the first time I was the first time I was introduced to yoga. I was about seventeen years old. Because I was very young during class I was very self conscious and I never did it properly. The classes were very unique. It was more than a class, during the weekend we would meet to meditate and afterwards we would then eat and socialize. Sometime we would go to the island or meditate under the moonlight. It was also the first time I experience the healing power of Reiki(is a simple, natural treatment and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement). I remember feeling so at peace I wonder why I ever stopped.
