I feel for a Lazy Girl I definitely have more energy and once in a blue moon I actually wake up before my alarm clock and I owe this to the benefits of practicing yoga. Although I have to admit I didn't practice regularly I feel a better person for trying. So I leave you with this quick fun quiz in hope of you readers to try yoga for yourself.

It has been proven that deep meditation benefits body and mind. It helps with lowering blood pressure and sugar levels as well as improving our digestive system, releasing muscle tension and combating insomnia.

Anything involving a pillow, I'm down!

Final Thoughts
I practiced the poses several times before going to sleep and I noticed a little bit of a difference. Definitely going to try again!

Power Yoga is very much like Vinyasa or Ashtanga yoga, you move quickly from pose to pose the difference is you are building strength rather than flexibility. Power yoga poses are usually very intense and are cardio focused. The classes are designed to improve muscle, reduce fat, increase BMR, burn calories, basically its yoga for weight loss.

Final Thoughts
1o minutes into the video I was sweating profusely. I don't know if it was really working or that I was totally out of shape. Plus side I didn't have to go to the gym! Workout done for the day.

"The Yoga of Awereness"

Kundalini is one of the oldest forms of yoga dating all the way back to 500 b.c. India. Kundalini means literally means "snake" and the purpose of it is to "uncoil your snake" and release your inner energy. Kundalini differs from other forms of yoga. No two classes are the same, expect to dance, jump, breathing exercises, holding poses for longer than usual.

Final Thoughts
Kundalini was the first time I was the first time I was introduced to yoga. I was about seventeen years old. Because I was very young during class I was very self conscious and I never did it properly. The classes were very unique. It was more than a class, during the weekend we would meet to meditate and afterwards we would then eat and socialize. Sometime we would go to the island or meditate under the moonlight. It was also the first time I experience the healing power of Reiki(is a simple, natural treatment and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement). I remember feeling so at peace I wonder why I ever stopped.

Bikram Yoga was founded by Bikram Choudhury who started practicing yoga when he was only four years old under Bishnu Ghosh. Bikram is a series of 26 poses and two breathing exercises practiced in a heated room at a temperature of 106*F. Some of the benefits of Bikram yoga include increase flexibility, recovering from injuries due to deep stretching, and expulsion of toxins due to increased perspiration. The most important thing to remember is to hydrate! It is recommended to drink about 500mL of water 2 hours before class and drink only small sips of water during. After it is recommended to drink at least 1 liter of water to replenish your body with the water it lost.

Final Thoughts
Since I don't have any access to a hot yoga studio I decided to practice the 26 poses outside at 2 in the afternoon. Bikram was better definitely better than Ashtanga but sadly I only got to pose 13. There was definitely a mosquito problem. I got my mat and went inside. Plus side I was a little sore afterwards.
